Senior Pastor
I have been in ministry since 1989 and the Lead Pastor of FFC since its launch in 2008 at our first campus in Liberty, NC. My heart’s desire is to spread the Good News of Jesus to those not yet apart of God’s family. I truly want everyone to experience the wonderful freedom that comes with being a child of God. I personally have four children and two grandchildren and currently live with my wife, Jennifer, and youngest daughter, Naomi, in Seminole, Florida. My favorite scripture at the moment is Philippians 2:13, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.”
Elder
My name is Terry Lister, I serve as an elder for our family here and have been blessed so many times by getting to really know the hearts of our congregation. As we continue here at Freedom Family Church, I pray that our shared vision continues to bring glory to the kingdom of God. My favorite scripture at the moment is Matthew 19:26, ‘Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.'”
Elder
Hi, my name is Ray Hand. Our family has lived in Florida since late 2019 (previous residences in KY and NC). My wife is my high school sweetheart and we married immediately after college in 1990. We have 2 children, Isaac and Sarah, 17 years apart. I enjoy what I call activities of fellowship – hunting, fishing and golf. Tammy and I enjoy opening our home to our church and neighbors to share Christ’s love through the fellowship of doing life with one another. God often aligns certain seasons in my life to portions of Scripture that serve as persistent reminders as I move forward in His plan. At the moment, a few of those are: Colossians 3:12-17, 23-24; Deuteronomy 6-8; Matthew 6:33 & John 13:34-35.
Kid’s Minister
I am the team leader for the children and families ministry at Freedom Family Church. I have had this role for over 30 years and serve alongside an amazing team of dedicated Sunday school teachers that are faithful, loving, kind and compassionate. Their hearts truly are for Jesus and children. Our vision is to equip children with a foundation of faith that allows them to discover their true royal identity as God‘s creation for His glory. To love Him, to honor Him and to serve Him. We love children, and we are honored and excited, to serve God in this ministry at Freedom Family Church. My favorite scripture right now is Acts 4:12, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven, given to men by which we must be saved but Jesus.”
Worship Leader
I grew up with a love for music and recently God has ignited that love again as He has called me to lead the Freedom Family Church Seminole Worship team. I am excited to see how God is moving in the lives and fellowship of our congregation. I married my high school sweetheart Ray and we have been happily married for more than 30 years and we have two children, Isaac and Izzy. I enjoy sharing Christ’s love through hospitality, our life group, spending time in the Word and worshipping through song. I also love to cook and feed His flock. I enjoy crafts and creating things from found or reused items. My favorite Bible verses are: Isaiah 41:10 and Psalm 139:1-6.
Welcome Ministry Leader
Hi, I am Becky Sutfin and I am the Welcome Team leader at the FFC-Seminole Campus. I love getting to know new people and making them feel at home when they join us for service. One of my favorite Bible verses is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see.”
